In 1 – 2 sentences provide an instructional technology goal for your district.
By the end of this three year cycle, the district will implement a comprehensive Artificial Intelligence Literacy and Ethics program for all K-8 students, including EL learners and special education students, supported by PK-5 STEM teachers and middle school technology
classes, in order to enhance critical thinking and creativity, achieve 100% student access to a rich digital literacy curriculum, and provide equitable technology access for students lacking home internet. The implementation of this goal will begin with robust professional
learning for staff designated to deliver AI literacy instruction starting in the 2026-27 school year.

With district funding and targeted professional development, the district will establish a comprehensive 6–12 computer science pathway—adding middle school outreach, guaranteed introductory seats, and a coherent HS sequence of traditional programming, AI-assisted coding, and cybersecurity—within three years in order to align with the NYS Portrait of a Graduate and NYSED pathway requirements, increase female student representation in CS courses from ~5% (3 of 58 students) to 15%, and ensure equitable participation by providing mentorship, female-focused recruitment, reserved seats, targeted teacher training, and take-home technology and connectivity supports.

Instructional technology is embedded district-wide to support standards-aligned instruction, personalize learning, and ensure equitable access so every student can develop the Portrait of a Graduate competencies (creative innovator, critical thinker, adaptable problem solver, empathetic influencer, responsible citizen, and collaborative learner). Technology will be integrated into teaching and learning through curriculum-aligned digital lessons (K–8 AI/digital literacy, MS tech, HS tech and CS pathway), other project-based activities, and opportunities to develop digital portfolios so students can create, collaborate, and demonstrate mastery in multiple formats.
As a Google school with multiple other available interactive tech platforms, our teachers will continue to use technology to facilitate instruction, differentiate, give timely feedback, and run assessments. To provide multiple pathways for access and participation, the district will continue to offer differentiated tools, multilingual and accessibility supports, varied assessment modes, one-to-one devices, and offline-capable resources so students without reliable home internet can engage “everywhere, all the time.” Measurable targets will link technology use to outcomes ensuring sustained improvement in student performance and equitable learning
opportunities.
How will the district's use of instructional technology support a comprehensive and sustained effort to improve student performance and academic standards, while also addressing the need to provide equitable learning opportunities “everywhere, all the time” (National Technology Plan)?
Yes. Our district operates a full-time virtual instruction program.
Yes. One or more of our students will attend a program operated by a BOCES or another public school district. None of our students will participate in a full-time virtual instruction program.
